I started running in 2022 and couldn’t run longer than 1 minute without stopping. But I kept showing up because every run, even the messy ones, made me proud of myself. Little by little, those minutes added up. I ran my first 5K, then a 10K, and this year I ran two half marathons. Showing up changed everything.
Absolutely. I still do run-walk and I’m proudly a slow runner. Running has no size requirement and no speed minimum. If you’re moving forward, you’re a runner.
I’m picky so I only share what truly fits and supports a curvy body. Think supportive high-wasted leggings, wide shoes, anti-chafe essentials, and gear that doesn’t roll, squeeze, or ride up. If I recommend it, it’s because I wear it.
I remind myself that not every run has to be amazing or record breaking. Some runs are just about showing up. And honestly? I always feel better after I move, even if the run was messy.
Start with mindset. The rest follows. Grab comfortable shoes, go slow, take walk breaks, and forget what everyone else is doing. Your pace. Your journey. Your win.
